How to Live Stream to an Existing YouTube Event via Custom RTMP?

Live streaming to an existing YouTube event via Custom RTMP allows you to connect OneStream Live directly to a scheduled YouTube broadcast. By using the RTMP URL and Stream Key from the event, you can stream live or pre-recorded videos seamlessly to your planned YouTube stream.

To live stream to an existing YouTube Event via Custom RTMP, follow these steps :

Steps

  • Visit the YouTube Live Dashboard.

  • Enter Title, Description, Category, Privacy, and Thumbnail, then click Done.

  • Toggle on the Enable auto-start button under Additional settings.

  • In the Stream Settings section, you will see your YouTube RTMP URL and Stream key.

  • Log in to the OneStream Live account.

  • From the left-hand side, click Social platforms.

  • Click Add social Platform.

  • Select Custom RTMP.

Custom RTMP

  • Enter a custom RTMP event name. Copy the Stream URL and Stream key from YouTube to this social destination.

  • Enable Advanced Settings, set Video Bitrate to 3500, Keyframes to 2, Audio to 128, and FPS to 30/60.

  • Click the Connect button.

  • Now you can schedule your streams on this account, and they will go live on your existing YouTube event.
