If you cannot hear your guest during a OneStream Live Studio session, the issue may be related to the guest's microphone, audio settings, or your speaker output. Follow these steps to identify and resolve common audio issues.
Check Your Guest's Audio
-
Make sure your guest has been added to the live stream. If the guest is still backstage, you will not be able to hear them.
-
Check that the Microphone icon is not muted.
-
Ask your guest to confirm that their microphone is turned on and not muted.
-
Ask your guest to click the Settings icon in Studio and open the Audio tab.
-
Make sure the correct microphone is selected as the audio input.
-
Ask your guest to speak and check whether the audio level bar responds, confirming that the microphone is working.
Check Your Audio Settings
If your guest's audio settings are correct, check your own Studio settings:
-
Click the Settings icon in Studio and open the Audio tab.
-
Make sure the correct speakers or headphones are selected for audio output.
-
Check that your computer's volume is turned up and not muted.
-
Right-click the Studio browser tab and make sure the tab is not muted.
Additional Troubleshooting Steps
-
Check that the guest's browser has permission to access the microphone.
-
Ensure the guest has a stable internet connection.
-
Ask the guest to leave and rejoin the Studio session.
-
Try using a different microphone or headset.
-
Close other applications that may be using the microphone.
-
Refresh or restart the browser and rejoin the Studio.
-
Try using a different supported browser, preferably Google Chrome.
