How Does Overlay Work with Live Studio?

Last updated on Sep 01, 2026

Overlays let you display graphics such as logos, banners, frames, or text on top of your live stream without interrupting your video. They help enhance your stream's appearance, improve branding, and can be added, updated, or removed at any time during the broadcast.

To add the overlays to your stream using OneStream Live Studio, follow these steps:

Steps

Studio Live Stream

  • From the right panel, click Setup.

Setup menu

  • From the right slide-out sidebar, click the Media tab.

Media tab.

  • Scroll down and open the Overlay section.

Overlay section.

  • Enable and select one from the available built-in overlays.

Studio - Overlays

  • Upload a new overlay.

  • In the dialog box, click upload, choose a file from your device, and click Upload.

Studio - Upploads

  • Once the upload is complete, click the uploaded overlay to add it to the stage.

Studio - add overlays

  • To remove an overlay, hover over it and click the Bin icon.
Overlay files support .png, .webp, and .webm formats, up to 40 MB and 1920 × 1080 resolution.
