How Do Scenes work in OneStream Live Studio?
Take full control of your live production with Scenes in OneStream Live Studio. Create and organize multiple scenes with
customized layouts, media, overlays, intros, and outros, then seamlessly switch between them during your broadcast.
To add and manage scenes in your OneStream Live Studio session, follow these steps:

Things to Do First
- Create and enter a Studio session before setting up your scenes.
Studio Live Stream
- The default folder is available by default, or you can create a new folder as needed.
::info:: Users can organize scenes into up to 10 folders per setup, with each setup having its own folders, scenes, and
active selections that are saved for future use.
Create and Manage Scenes
- From the left-side panel, click Scenes.

- The Scenes panel will expand, and a default scene will already be available.

- To manage an existing scene, click the three-dot (⋮) menu next to the scene. You can:
- Rename the scene (Max 40 characters).
- Duplicate Scene to create a copy.
- Move to Folder to organize your scenes.
- Add Scene Below to create a new scene directly below the selected scene.
- Delete Scene when it is no longer needed.

::info::You can create multiple scenes within a single folder and switch between them as needed during your broadcast.
Add a New Scene
- Click + Add Scene at the bottom of the Scenes panel.
- Choose a scene type based on your broadcast requirements:
- Broadcast – Create a layout for displaying one or multiple people on screen.
- Media Presentation – Display media content, such as videos or presentations, while keeping the presenter on
screen.
- Interval – Add a full-screen break scene with a countdown timer.
- Select your desired scene type to add it to the Scenes list.
- Customize the new scene with your preferred camera, media, background, banners, tickers, and other visual elements.

Set an Instant Overlay
- From the Scenes panel, click Instant Overlay at the bottom.
- Select the overlay you want to display, such as Welcome, Be Right Back, Q&A, or Breaking News.
- For Like & Subscribe, click the arrow to view and select the available overlay options.
- Click the selected overlay to apply it to your live broadcast.

::info:: Instant overlays are not permanently saved to the folder or setup after the Studio session ends.
Setting an Intro and Outro:
- From the left panel, click the Scenes option.
- Click Set Intro or Set Outro. The Edit Intro Clip or Edit Outro Clip panel will open on the right side.
- In the Preview section, click the upload icon and select your intro or outro video clip from your device.
- Make sure your video meets the supported requirements:
- Maximum file size: 40 MB
- Maximum resolution: 1920×1080
- Select the required clip duration from the Intro or Outro Duration dropdown menu. Available duration options range
from 15 to 60 seconds.
- Enable Show Countdown to display a countdown timer before your live stream begins.
- Customize the countdown settings by selecting the countdown color and font.
- (Optional) Enable Built-in Visuals to access available intro designs or explore additional overlay options from the
marketplace.
- Review the preview area to confirm how your intro or outro will appear during the broadcast.
